- In Person: North Dakota does not require voter registration. Therefore, an eligible voter may vote in an election if the voter provides acceptable identification.
- By Mail: North Dakota does not require voter registration. Therefore, an eligible voter may vote in an election if the voter provides acceptable identification.
- Online: North Dakota does not require voter registration. Therefore, an eligible voter may vote in an election if the voter provides acceptable identification.
- Election Day Registration: North Dakota does not require voter registration. Therefore, an eligible voter may vote in an election if the voter provides acceptable identification.
North Dakota voter registration rules
To register to vote in North Dakota, you must:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be a resident of North Dakota
- Reside in the precinct for 30 days preceding Election Day
- Be at least 18 years old on the day of election
- Be able to provide a drivers license, non-driver identification card or other approved form of identification
